Lyrics
Grandpa's hat is on the hook Right beside the kitchen door I put it on when no one looks And I am ten years old once more It smells like soap and sunshine It smells like home Little hat, big hat, hanging by the door Keeps a little piece of him And a little bit more Little hat, big hat, hanging in the light I will keep you on that hook And I'll keep him in my life He wore it to the Sunday fields Tipped it to every passing friend He taught me how to say good morning And how to wave until the end It smells like soap and sunshine It smells like home Little hat, big hat, hanging by the door Keeps a little piece of him And a little bit more Little hat, big hat, hanging in the light I will keep you on that hook And I'll keep him in my life Tip your hat, tip your hat Say good morning to the sun Tip your hat, tip your hat The day has just begun Little hat, big hat, hanging by the door Keeps a little piece of him And a little bit more Little hat, big hat, hanging in the light I will keep you on that hook And I'll keep him in my life Tip your hat Good morning Tip your hat
