Track 1 of the single Window Seat Sunshine · 2026
Window Seat Sunshine
“I always fight for the window seat, and this song is my thank-you to every bus ride that gave me time to dream. It's the softest thing we've ever recorded, and the group singalong at the end still gives me goosebumps.”

Lyrics
Got the seat right by the glass Watch the sleepy town go past Coffee warm between my hands Fields are rolling, golden lands A little kid is waving hi I wave back as we go by Every mile a new surprise Morning pouring in my eyes Window seat sunshine on my face Nowhere to be but this lovely place Rolling past the rivers and the red roof tops Sunshine on the glass and I don't want it to stop Window seat sunshine, take me along Humming to the rhythm of the railway song Laundry dancing on a line Yellow rows of sunflowers shine A cyclist racing down the lane Beating us, but not for long Station signs go flying by Painted blue against the sky Every mile a new surprise Morning pouring in my eyes Window seat sunshine on my face Nowhere to be but this lovely place Rolling past the rivers and the red roof tops Sunshine on the glass and I don't want it to stop Window seat sunshine, take me along Humming to the rhythm of the railway song Clickety clack, clickety clack The whole world's moving and it's got my back Close my eyes, let the light come through Every little town says good morning to you Stranger smiles across the aisle We share a look and a little while Pass the tunnel, out again Bright as ever, here's the sun Wherever this ride may go I'm glad I took the seat to glow Window seat sunshine on my face Nowhere to be but this lovely place Rolling past the rivers and the red roof tops Sunshine on the glass and I don't want it to stop Window seat sunshine, take me along Humming to the rhythm of the railway song Window seat sunshine, rolling on Humming the railway song
