Lyrics
Kettle on the stove Radio on the shelf Dial turns a little Humming to myself Old song comes drifting Through the morning steam Feels like someone's holding me Inside a dream Kitchen radio, play me something slow Kitchen radio, let the old tune flow Dishes in the water, sun upon the floor Kitchen radio, play me one song more Mama used to sway Right here by the sink Spoon in her hand Never had to think Now I take her place Same tile, same light Same sweet melody Carries me tonight Kitchen radio, play me something slow Kitchen radio, let the old tune flow Dishes in the water, sun upon the floor Kitchen radio, play me one song more Static in between Then the bass comes through Every little crackle Sounds like home to you Toast is getting cold I don't even mind Left foot, right foot Leaving cares behind When the last note fades I will hum it still Kitchen radio Keep me warm until Kitchen radio, play me something slow Kitchen radio, let the old tune flow Dishes in the water, sun upon the floor Kitchen radio, play me one song more Play me one song more Play me one song more
