Lyrics
Strings of red and gold across the street Little feet are marching to the beat Drums at the corner, brass in the square Hold up your lantern, light up the air One by one they start to glow Here we go, here we go Parade of paper lanterns, shine, shine, shine Dancing down the avenue, hand in hand in line Parade of paper lanterns, rise up high Painting every window with a happy sky Sing it loud, sing it clear Everybody's here, everybody's here Parade of paper lanterns Grandma in the doorway waves a ribbon too Kids in paper hats and sparkly shoes Baker hands out sweet bread, warm and round Laughter is the loudest sound One by one they start to glow Here we go, here we go Parade of paper lanterns, shine, shine, shine Dancing down the avenue, hand in hand in line Parade of paper lanterns, rise up high Painting every window with a happy sky Sing it loud, sing it clear Everybody's here, everybody's here Parade of paper lanterns Hold it up, hold it high Wave it at the morning sky Every colour, every face Everybody has a place Parade of paper lanterns, shine, shine, shine Dancing down the avenue, hand in hand in line Parade of paper lanterns, rise up high Painting every window with a happy sky Sing it loud, sing it clear Everybody's here, everybody's here Parade of paper lanterns Shine, shine, shine Parade of paper lanterns
