Lyrics
Ten years back on a cafeteria floor We swore we'd meet at the pie shop door Me and Tommy with our dumb big dreams Shaking on it, ketchup on our jeans Now I'm standing in the rain with a tie Tommy's late and I'm starting to cry Then he rounds the corner, out of breath Yelling, I made it, I'm not dead I kept the promise, pass me a napkin Tears and gravy on my chin I kept the promise, pass me a napkin Where do we start, let's begin Ten years gone and we're sixteen again I kept the promise, pass me a napkin Waitress asks if we want to share We say no way, we both want a chair Two slices each and a milkshake too Same old jokes and they're still brand new Whoa-oh, we did it Whoa-oh, we did it I kept the promise, pass me a napkin Tears and gravy on my chin I kept the promise, pass me a napkin Where do we start, let's begin Ten years gone and we're sixteen again I kept the promise, pass me a napkin Clap your hands if you kept your word Stomp your feet if you got it heard Hug your friend, they're standing near Say I'm glad that you are here I kept the promise, pass me a napkin Tears and gravy on my chin I kept the promise, pass me a napkin Where do we start, let's begin Ten years gone and we're sixteen again I kept the promise, pass me a napkin Pass me a napkin Pass me a napkin
