Lyrics
A letter came in the morning mail Pencil on a folded page Words from an old friend far away Words that never aged I read it by the garage door With oil upon my hands It said come home, we're playing loud The way we always planned Write it down, write it down Write it in pencil, sign it in steel Raise it up, raise it up We are back and the thunder is real Write it down, write it down Sign it in steel I packed my amp into the truck I drove all through the night The old crew stood beneath the lamp And turned the power on bright Write it down, write it down Write it in pencil, sign it in steel Raise it up, raise it up We are back and the thunder is real Write it down, write it down Sign it in steel Every word was true Every word was true I came home to you I came home to you Write it down, write it down Write it in pencil, sign it in steel Raise it up, raise it up We are back and the thunder is real Write it down, write it down Sign it in steel Sign it in steel Sign it in steel
