Lyrics

I said the wrong thing
Said it loud
Watched your face
Go dark as a cloud
Left the room
With my pride in my hand
Now it's late
And I understand

Sorry is a heavy word
But I will lift it
Sorry is a heavy word
I carry it to you
I was wrong
And I say it plain
Sorry is a heavy word
And I'm sorry

Walked the street
In the cold night air
Played it over
Everywhere
Pride is a wall
That I built too tall
Tonight I'm tearing
Down it all

Sorry is a heavy word
But I will lift it
Sorry is a heavy word
I carry it to you
I was wrong
And I say it plain
Sorry is a heavy word
And I'm sorry

Knock on the door
Hands are shaking
No excuses
No more faking
Just the truth
Just the truth

Sorry is a heavy word
But I will lift it
Sorry is a heavy word
I carry it to you
I was wrong
And I say it plain
Sorry is a heavy word
And I'm sorry

I'm sorry
I'm sorry
