Lyrics
Down at the county fair There was a pie contest My dad baked an apple pie With a crust that was a little burnt The judges took a bite They nodded very slow He won a ribbon, blue For the best in the town Blue ribbon on a coffee can He keeps it on the shelf Blue ribbon on a coffee can He's proud as proud can be A small thing, a good thing He earned it, every bit Blue ribbon on a coffee can He wore his Sunday shirt He stood up very tall The crowd began to clap And he did not know what to do He pinned it on the lid Of the can where he keeps his nails He shows it to the neighbours Every single day Blue ribbon on a coffee can He keeps it on the shelf Blue ribbon on a coffee can He's proud as proud can be A small thing, a good thing He earned it, every bit Blue ribbon on a coffee can Some prizes are small Some prizes are gold This one is just right For a man like him Blue ribbon on a coffee can He keeps it on the shelf Blue ribbon on a coffee can He's proud as proud can be A small thing, a good thing He earned it, every bit Blue ribbon on a coffee can Blue ribbon On a coffee can
