Lyrics
Sun is high, the street is slow Two of us sit on the step Cold drink sweating in my hand Your shoulder close to mine Sit with me in the heat Cold drink on the step Sit with me in the heat We are cooler together Shirt is stuck, the pavement hums Kids run past the water hose You fan me with an old magazine And smile, and say nothing Sit with me in the heat Cold drink on the step Sit with me in the heat We are cooler together Let the sun go down Let the evening breeze Find us here, find us here Sit with me in the heat Cold drink on the step Sit with me in the heat We are cooler together
