Lyrics
Midnight in the corridor Hum of the ice machine Slippers on the carpet Quiet as a dream Far from home and sleepless Someone's TV glows Under every doorway A little light that shows Everybody's somewhere else tonight Everybody's holding on tight Hum, hum, hum, I'm not alone A hundred strangers far from home Each one under the same soft light Dreaming of the morning, dreaming of the sky Hum, hum, hum, we'll be alright Every door is a little starlight The night is long but the sun is near Hum, hum, hum, I hear you here Postcard on the dresser Phone at twenty percent Missing all my people Wondering where the time went Vending machine is glowing Coins like tiny stars I wave to my reflection In the elevator bars Everybody's somewhere else tonight Everybody's holding on tight Hum, hum, hum, I'm not alone A hundred strangers far from home Each one under the same soft light Dreaming of the morning, dreaming of the sky Hum, hum, hum, we'll be alright Every door is a little starlight The night is long but the sun is near Hum, hum, hum, I hear you here Close your eyes, the hall is calm Carpet soft beneath my palm Morning's coming, coming slow Golden light is on its way Hold on, hold on, I know Hum, hum, hum, I'm not alone A hundred strangers far from home Each one under the same soft light Dreaming of the morning, dreaming of the sky Hum, hum, hum, we'll be alright Every door is a little starlight The night is long but the sun is near Hum, hum, hum, I hear you here Goodnight, goodnight Morning's near
