Lyrics
Your light comes on at seven Mine comes on at six I hear your music playing Slow and soft with licks We pass upon the landing Eyes go to the floor Wish I had the courage To knock upon your door Stranger next door, say hello Stranger next door, don't go slow Same old wall between us But the music starts to flow Stranger next door, say hello You water all your flowers Humming something sweet I sweep the little hallway Right beside your feet Is that a smile I noticed Before you closed the door Heart goes on the one-drop Wanting something more Stranger next door, say hello Stranger next door, don't go slow Same old wall between us But the music starts to flow Stranger next door, say hello Hello, hello Just one word Hello, hello Let it be heard Tonight I'm gonna knock now Holding a warm cup You open and you're grinning Say come on, sit up Two cups on the table Our song upon the air Stranger next door Now I know you're there Stranger next door, say hello Stranger next door, don't go slow Same old wall between us But the music starts to flow Stranger next door, say hello Say hello Say hello
