Lyrics
Woke up early, coffee's fine Sun came in on a slanted line No big news, no reason why Just a grin that came to say hi Walked past the baker, waved at the dog Whistled along with the morning fog Nobody's birthday, nobody's feast Still I feel like the king of the street Nothing happened and it was wonderful Not a thing to explain Nothing happened and it was wonderful Sunshine, whistle, and a little bit of rain Tapped my fingers on the counter top Didn't want the good feeling to stop No one asked me what I was glad about Wouldn't know how to say it out loud Nothing happened and it was wonderful Not a thing to explain Nothing happened and it was wonderful Sunshine, whistle, and a little bit of rain Some days the joy just walks right in No knock, no ticket, no reason, no sin Take it, friend, and pass it on Happy's a song you can hum along Nothing happened and it was wonderful Not a thing to explain Nothing happened and it was wonderful Sunshine, whistle, and a little bit of rain Nothing happened, and it was wonderful
