Lyrics
Somebody found a gourd in the yard Tapped it with a spoon, now we're all on guard Rhythm in the courtyard, rhythm in the street Everybody's shoulders learning how to meet One more tap, one more beat Come on over, find your seat Clap along, calabash drum Everybody here, everybody come Clap along, sing it loud Happy little circle, happy little crowd Clap along, hey hey hey Sunshine's got the whole day Grandpa on the stool with a smile so wide Kids on the steps keeping count with pride Pots and pans joining in the sound Good news travels when the beat goes round One more tap, one more beat Come on over, find your seat Clap along, calabash drum Everybody here, everybody come Clap along, sing it loud Happy little circle, happy little crowd Clap along, hey hey hey Sunshine's got the whole day You call, I answer Clap clap clap You call, I answer Clap clap clap Louder for the morning Louder for the sun Louder for the neighbours, everyone Clap along, calabash drum Everybody here, everybody come Clap along, sing it loud Happy little circle, happy little crowd Clap along, hey hey hey Sunshine's got the whole day Tap tap tap, soft and slow Smiles are all we need to know
