Lyrics
Sandals slapping on the street Sky is turning peach Warm air on my shoulders Summer's within reach Take the long way, take it slow Nowhere that I have to go Evening lights, halfway home Humming to myself, not alone Evening lights, golden glow Dancing down the road, nice and slow Neighbours on the steps say hey I wave back and sway Evening lights, halfway home Oh, I'm okay Corner shop is glowing bright Fruit stacked in a row Music from an open door Making my feet go Take the long way, take it slow Nowhere that I have to go Evening lights, halfway home Humming to myself, not alone Evening lights, golden glow Dancing down the road, nice and slow Neighbours on the steps say hey I wave back and sway Evening lights, halfway home Oh, I'm okay Stars are coming out to play Shy at first, then bold I carry all this gentle light Warm against the cold Evening lights, halfway home Humming to myself, not alone Evening lights, golden glow Dancing down the road, nice and slow Neighbours on the steps say hey I wave back and sway Evening lights, halfway home Oh, I'm okay Halfway home, halfway home Oh, I'm okay
