Lyrics
You had the board with the broken wheel I had the bike with no brakes We built a ramp from a door and a crate And we thought it was a lake We'd eat the same cold pizza We'd bleed on the same concrete Now your phone says seen at nine o'clock And I don't know what to tweet When did we get so busy When did we get so far When did the days get shorter Than the road to where you are We used to skate here every day Now the park is the same but we went away Hey, hey, I still look for you Hey, hey, I hope you do too We used to skate here every day Hey, I miss you, and I just had to say You got a job and a little bit tall I got a band and a bruise We said we'd never change our ways That's the first thing we both lose But I saw your name on a poster Down the street at the old shop And I stood there grinning like a fool And I could not make it stop When did we get so busy When did we get so far When did the days get shorter Than the road to where you are We used to skate here every day Now the park is the same but we went away Hey, hey, I still look for you Hey, hey, I hope you do too We used to skate here every day Hey, I miss you, and I just had to say So come on down on Saturday Bring the board with the broken wheel I'll bring the cold pizza And we'll see how we feel No speeches, no big talking Just two knees and the ground We'll fall down like we used to And we'll get back up laughing loud We used to skate here every day And we're going to skate here again, okay Hey, hey, I found you again Hey, hey, my oldest friend We used to skate here every day Hey, and I'm so glad you came my way Every day, every day Oh, we skate here every day
