Small Wins Parade
by Tessa Rae
“I wrote this one on a day when everything just went right, and I wanted a song that throws a parade for it. The horns and the choir answering me make it feel like the whole block is marching along.”

Lyrics
Found my keys on the first try today Parking spot waiting right in my way Toast came out golden, not a bit burnt Little things, little things, I'm learning my turn Nobody's counting, so I will Every little win is a thrill Here comes the small wins parade Marching in with the sun on the stage Hold up a banner for the thing that went right Clap for the good things, big or small, tonight Oh, it's a small wins parade Watered the plant and it lifted its head Sent that message I'd been dreading, and it's said Friend called me up just to say hello Pocket full of sunshine, nowhere else to go Nobody's counting, so I will Every little win is a thrill Here comes the small wins parade Marching in with the sun on the stage Hold up a banner for the thing that went right Clap for the good things, big or small, tonight Oh, it's a small wins parade So raise your cup, raise it high For the green light, for the clear blue sky For the song on the radio, just right We made it through, we're doing fine Here comes the small wins parade Marching in with the sun on the stage Hold up a banner for the thing that went right Clap for the good things, big or small, tonight Oh, it's a small wins parade Small wins, small wins Clap along, clap along Here comes the parade Small wins parade
