Liner notes
After the big front-porch songs of the first album, I wanted to zoom in on the little things: finding my keys, flipping a pancake, calling my grandma. I grew up believing every morning deserved a hallelujah, so I wrote these four like a sunrise service in my own kitchen, with stacked harmonies, a bouncing groove, and a few horn stabs to push the party along. We cut most of it live in one room with the choir crowded around one mic, and you can hear everybody grinning. Play it loud while the coffee brews.
