Lyrics
Five in the morning The street is white Frost on the rooftops In the pale first light Boots on the pavement Lunch in my hand Got a long shift waiting And a long road planned Scrape the glass Start the engine Rolling out while the town sleeps in Scrape the glass Start the engine Cold won't win Cold won't win Breath like smoke In the headlight beam Steering wheel cold Like a river stream Heater is groaning Radio's loud Driving through the quiet With my head held proud Scrape the glass Start the engine Rolling out while the town sleeps in Scrape the glass Start the engine Cold won't win Cold won't win First frost of the year Shining on the road Everybody's sleeping But I am good to go Scrape the glass Start the engine Rolling out while the town sleeps in Scrape the glass Start the engine Cold won't win Cold won't win Cold won't win Cold won't win
