Lyrics
Wrote you a letter on the back of a menu Spelled your name wrong, did it again Crossed out the part where I sound like a fool Then crossed out the rest of it, then Pen is leaking Hands are shaking Mailbox is open wide Handwritten, crossed out, sent anyway Messy and loud, but it's all I have to say Handwritten, crossed out, sent anyway Hey! Hey! Sent anyway Licked the stamp and it stuck to my thumb Walked to the corner with ink on my chin Stood there a minute, stood there two Then I closed my eyes and I dropped it in Pen is leaking Hands are shaking Mailbox is open wide Handwritten, crossed out, sent anyway Messy and loud, but it's all I have to say Handwritten, crossed out, sent anyway Hey! Hey! Sent anyway Now I wait Now I wait Every day I check the door Then a letter, one blue line It says me too, me too, me too Handwritten, crossed out, sent anyway Messy and loud, and I'm so glad I did Handwritten, crossed out, sent anyway Hey! Hey! Sent anyway Sent anyway Hey! Hey! Sent anyway
