Lyrics
Mercury climbing and the block's on fire Sun on the asphalt like a stage-light wire Flip-flops slapping on the burning curb Ice pops melting, nothing can disturb Sprinkler on the lawn, yeah the kids go wild Aunty with the hose, she's smiling like a child Fifty on the dashboard, shades on tight Heat can't stop us, we shine in the light Turn it up, turn it up Fill the cooler, fill the cup Sprinklers on, sprinklers on We ain't going in till the night is gone Heat index high, spirits higher Whole block dancing in the water fire Sprinklers on, sprinklers on Splash, splash, till the heat is gone Hands up, hands up, cool it down Hottest day and we own the town Corner store out of ice and we don't care Cold watermelon sliced right there Speakers on the stoop with a bass so deep Even the pigeons bounce, they don't sleep Shirt on my shoulder, sweat on my chain Dancing in the street in the summer rain Hydrant just a trickle but we make it a flood Heat in the air and it's all good love Turn it up, turn it up Fill the cooler, fill the cup Sprinklers on, sprinklers on We ain't going in till the night is gone Heat index high, spirits higher Whole block dancing in the water fire Sprinklers on, sprinklers on Splash, splash, till the heat is gone Hands up, hands up, cool it down Hottest day and we own the town Drop it low, let the water fall Everybody in it, one and all Hot, hot, hot, now hands in the air Splash it up, we don't care Sprinklers on, sprinklers on We ain't going in till the night is gone Heat index high, spirits higher Whole block dancing in the water fire Sprinklers on, sprinklers on Splash, splash, till the heat is gone Hands up, hands up, cool it down Hottest day and we own the town Sprinklers on, sprinklers on Stay cool, stay strong
