Lyrics
Gates swing open when the sun goes down Ferris wheel spinning over the whole town Cotton candy clouds and a popcorn breeze Ticket in my fist and the whole crew with me Ring toss, bean bag, try your luck Skye on the mic and the bass gets stuck Bulbs in a line like a runway of stars Tempo in the lead, we run this bazaar Spin it, spin it, lights go round Hands up high, feet off the ground Carnival lights, carnival lights Glowing like a wish on a Saturday night Carnival lights, carnival lights Everybody screaming, everything's bright Round and round on the big wheel ride Whole wide world on the other side Carnival lights, carnival lights We stay till they cut the night Bumper cars crashing with a laugh and a spark Lil cousin driving like he owns the park Funnel cake powder on my fresh white tee Skye wins a goldfish, names it Marty Games man shouting come and take a shot Tin cans tumbling, I hit the whole lot Giant stuffed bear that's bigger than me Carry it home like a trophy, you see Spin it, spin it, lights go round Hands up high, feet off the ground Carnival lights, carnival lights Glowing like a wish on a Saturday night Carnival lights, carnival lights Everybody screaming, everything's bright Round and round on the big wheel ride Whole wide world on the other side Carnival lights, carnival lights We stay till they cut the night Top of the wheel, we pause, we stare City like glitter in the cool night air Breathe it in, hold it tight Down we go, back to the light Last ticket left, we spend it on the swing Chains in the wind and the whole crowd sings Fireworks pop at the edge of the field Colors in our eyes, nothing to conceal Walking out slow with a paper bag of sweets Music in our ears and a drum in our feet Next year same time, you know we'll be there Lights in our hearts and a goldfish to spare Carnival lights, carnival lights Glowing like a wish on a Saturday night Carnival lights, carnival lights Everybody screaming, everything's bright Round and round on the big wheel ride Whole wide world on the other side Carnival lights, carnival lights We stay till they cut the night Round and round, round and round Carnival lights, we're homeward bound
