Lyrics
I said I'd be there, and I meant it Rain on the road, flat tire, bad luck Ran the last mile with my guitar case Soaked to the socks, but I showed up Nobody thought that I would come Nobody thought that I would come I said I'd be there, so I'm here Late and loud and out of breath I said I'd be there, so I'm here A promise is a promise, yeah Shout it with me, I'm here, I'm here You asked me once to play your party Your little brother's birthday day Three chords, a cake, and paper hats I said I would, and I'm okay Nobody thought that I would come Nobody thought that I would come I said I'd be there, so I'm here Late and loud and out of breath I said I'd be there, so I'm here A promise is a promise, yeah Shout it with me, I'm here, I'm here Small things count Small things count If you say you will, then do That's all, that's all I said I'd be there, so I'm here Late and loud and out of breath I said I'd be there, so I'm here A promise is a promise, yeah Shout it with me, I'm here, I'm here I'm here, I'm here I said I'd be there, so I'm here
