Lyrics
I walked away one rainy day Said some things I shouldn't say Now I'm standing at your door Hat in hand, and nothing more The kettle's on, I hear it hum Maybe now the quiet's come Porch light flickers, soft and low Do you still want me to know Knock again, knock again Let me in, let me in Knock again, door still open Second chance, softly spoken Knock again, come on in Let us start again Knock again, door still open Second chance, softly spoken Knock again, come on in Let us start again You pour the tea and pass the sweet Old familiar, kind and neat No big speech and no big fight Just two hearts in the kitchen light Time has softened every word Things unsaid are finally heard Sit with me a little while Let me see your gentle smile Knock again, knock again Let me in, let me in Knock again, door still open Second chance, softly spoken Knock again, come on in Let us start again Knock again, door still open Second chance, softly spoken Knock again, come on in Let us start again Slow and sweet, we begin Slow and sweet, we begin Hand in hand, a little glow Warm at last, and in we go Knock again, door still open Second chance, softly spoken Knock again, come on in Let us start again Knock again, door still open Second chance, softly spoken Knock again, come on in Let us start again Let us start again
