Lyrics
The pool light hums in the desert night Blue on the wall, a small blue light Nobody here but the vacancy sign Buzzing soft, buzzing mine Stay a while, the desert's wide Stars are all there is outside Stay a while, the night is long The pool is quiet, the night goes on A truck goes by on the empty road Then the silence settles slow I dip my feet in the cooling blue The whole wide sky is above me too Stay a while, the desert's wide Stars are all there is outside Stay a while, the night is long The pool is quiet, the night goes on Far from home, and that is fine The sand is cool, the stars align Nothing to chase and nowhere to be Just the water, and the sky, and me Stay a while, the desert's wide Stars are all there is outside Stay a while, the night is long The pool is quiet, the night goes on Stay a while The night goes on
