Lyrics
Fire in the wok at the end of the night Smoke in the rafters, lantern light Sixteen hours on his feet again But he lifts his head and he smiles Pots are ringing Hands are strong Everybody sing along Ladle and flame, the heart never closes Ladle and flame, we stand tall Ladle and flame, the fire still glows For every one of us all Pass the bowl across the counter Steam is rising to the sky Thank you friend, you came so late But the kitchen has room for one more Pots are ringing Hands are strong Everybody sing along Ladle and flame, the heart never closes Ladle and flame, we stand tall Ladle and flame, the fire still glows For every one of us all Shutters down, shutters down The last light fades But the fire stays warm In the heart of the stall Ladle and flame, the heart never closes Ladle and flame, we stand tall Ladle and flame, the fire still glows For every one of us all The fire still glows For all of us
