Lyrics
Found a ribbon in the drawer Faded blue from long ago Village fair and summer sun Little prize that I won Baked a cake with Granny's spoon Sugar dust and kitchen tune Judge said first, I could not speak Tears of joy upon my cheek Blue ribbon in the drawer Sweet as it was before A little win, a lasting glow Blue ribbon, soft and slow Now I hold it in my hand Warm as any golden sand Kettle singing, afternoon Hum along, the same old tune Blue ribbon in the drawer Sweet as it was before A little win, a lasting glow Blue ribbon, soft and slow Small things shine When the years go by Keep them close Beneath the sky Blue ribbon in the drawer Sweet as it was before A little win, a lasting glow Blue ribbon, soft and slow Blue ribbon Soft and slow
