Lyrics
Early bus, a window seat New shoes tapping on the floor Everybody's heading somewhere I'm heading through a brand new door Tap the badge and hear it beep The little green light says come on in Someone's smiling by the lift Hello, they say, let's begin Coffee's hot and my heart's too fast Here comes the first day, here at last Monday badge, Monday bright Walking in with the morning light Don't know the way but I'm on my way Monday badge, Monday bright Every desk was new one day Sing it loud, we're all just starting Monday badge, Monday bright Learn the names and learn the rules Find the room where the good mugs hide Lunch with people I don't know yet Who will be friends by the end of the ride One day I'll know every corridor I'll hold the door for someone new And tell them, it gets easy fast Here's what somebody told me too Monday badge, Monday bright Walking in with the morning light Don't know the way but I'm on my way Monday badge, Monday bright Every desk was new one day Sing it loud, we're all just starting Monday badge, Monday bright Monday badge, Monday bright Here I go into the light
