Lyrics
Early at the corner in a coat of yellow The crossing guard is humming something low and mellow Rain on the pavement, streetlights fading out Holding up a round sign, nothing to doubt Stop sign up, let them cross Slow and safe, nothing lost Hold the sign and hold the light Morning's coming, it's all right Little boots are splashing, backpacks bouncing by A wave and a smile under a grey soft sky She knows every name and she knows every shoe The corner is hers and she sees them through Stop sign up, let them cross Slow and safe, nothing lost Hold the sign and hold the light Morning's coming, it's all right Night is ending, day begins Quiet street where the walking is One by one they get home Nobody walks alone Stop sign up, let them cross Slow and safe, nothing lost Hold the sign and hold the light Morning's coming, it's all right Stop sign up Morning's coming, it's all right
