Liner notes

By 2019 I'd stopped being embarrassed about being comfortable in my own songs. Candle Down is about the cosy things that outlast us: a mixtape, a grocery list in my mother's hand, a photograph hidden in a piano lid. Same quartet, same tape, same half-dark room, and for the first time I let myself end on a note of confidence. Step back into the picture, honey. It's still yours.
