Lyrics
There's a picture on the wall of the girl I was Sequin dress and a smile because She had a song and a stage and a name And she never once looked back in shame I look at her and I raise my chin Wrinkles come but the voice is in Every line that the years have drawn Is a verse of a song still going on Step back into the picture, honey Same fire, same light Step back into the picture, honey You're still the star tonight Time can fade the paper, but not the sound Step back into the picture, turn the lights up now Old friends gather round the frame Calling out my younger name But I answer with the voice I own Deeper now, and fully grown Step back into the picture, honey Same fire, same light Step back into the picture, honey You're still the star tonight Time can fade the paper, but not the sound Step back into the picture, turn the lights up now Not for the past, but for the song That I have carried all along Every year is a color on the glass Shining through, never going to pass Step back into the picture, honey Same fire, same light Step back into the picture, honey You're still the star tonight Time can fade the paper, but not the sound Step back into the picture, turn the lights up now You're still the star tonight
