Liner notes

This was the first record we made in a real studio, and we nearly ruined it by being polite. Then we pushed everyone into one room, hung the mics from the ceiling, and sang every chorus together like we do on the sidewalk after a show. Borrowed Time is about the feeling that every good thing is on loan: the van, the youth, the audience. We tried to make it loud enough to pay it back.
