Liner notes

For this one I wanted the low, round thump of the log drum underneath everything, with pop hooks on top that you could sing after one listen. We cut the drums first and built the songs around them, and the choir friends came in at the end, crowded around the microphone as always. It is full of rain, markets, Uncle Kofi and a cha-cha I could not stop dancing. When people ask what season it is, I say bounce season, every day.
