Their story
Vanta Lux began in 2011 making after-hours mixes in a rented rehearsal room above a Lisbon bakery, trading tapes with friends who ran a tiny Friday club night. Her first EP, Salt Hours (2013), found a following with its patient eleven-minute builds, and the debut album Low Tide Frequencies (2016) made her a fixture of late-night sets across Southern Europe. Records like Amber Corridor (2018) and Midnight Ledger (2021) refined her signature: warm analogue bass, barely-there vocals, and breakdowns that feel like exhaling. Now a veteran of the label's late shift, she still records everything live in one-take sessions at night.
Influences: Late-night Lisbon radio, dub-tinged Chicago house, ambient tape loops, fado's restraint, empty-club acoustics
