Lyrics
The lobby lights are low The last guest's gone upstairs An old piano waits In a quiet velvet chair I press a single key It hums across the floor Soft as a sleepy song Behind a closing door Play it slow, play it low Let the keys be soft tonight Play it slow, play it low Everything's all right The clock above the desk Is ticking nice and slow Rain is on the glass And the street lamps glow Somebody far from home Is listening upstairs Hearing one soft chord Drifting down the stairs Play it slow, play it low Let the keys be soft tonight Play it slow, play it low Everything's all right No one has to clap No one has to stay Just a little music To carry the night away Play it slow, play it low Let the keys be soft tonight Play it slow, play it low Everything's all right Play it slow, play it low Everything's all right
