Lyrics
I drove all day to see you The radio played low The road was long and empty But I knew where to go Every mile a little closer Every light turned green I kept my promise to you Now you are all I see Smooth road back to you Smooth road back to you I kept my word, I am here Smooth road back to you You stand on the porch and wait The porch light on for me I step out of the car You say, you came, you came Smooth road back to you Smooth road back to you I kept my word, I am here Smooth road back to you No need to say much Hold me close, that is enough The night is warm We are home Smooth road back to you Smooth road back to you I kept my word, I am here Smooth road back to you Back to you Back to you
