Liner notes

This was the first record where I let myself be a headliner, with a proper crew, a proper room, and a budget for strings that I spent on a bass amp instead. We cut it in the autumn with storms rolling through, and you can hear a real typhoon-warning broadcast bleeding into the second side. The songs are about tapes in shoeboxes, platforms in the rain, and the last night before the boxes go out. It's the heaviest I've been and the softest I've been, sometimes in the same minute.
