Lyrics
One guitar by the window, one small light Fingers find the old chords, slow and right You hum the melody I forgot Soft as the moon, and I'm caught Play it again, play it low Let the quiet say what I know Nylon strings and candlelight Hold me close, it's a lovely night Every note is a little hello Take my hand and don't let go Nylon strings and candlelight Two hearts humming, everything's right Play it slow, let the evening glow Nylon strings, and I love you so Tea gone cold on the table by the bed Old guitar leaning, words unsaid Your smile is the chorus I knew all along Soft as a lullaby, steady and strong Play it again, play it low Let the quiet say what I know Nylon strings and candlelight Hold me close, it's a lovely night Every note is a little hello Take my hand and don't let go Nylon strings and candlelight Two hearts humming, everything's right Play it slow, let the evening glow Nylon strings, and I love you so Hush now, hush now, the city's asleep Only the music and promises we keep One last chord and we let it ring Softly, softly, everything Nylon strings and candlelight Hold me close, it's a lovely night Every note is a little hello Take my hand and don't let go Nylon strings and candlelight Two hearts humming, everything's right Play it slow, let the evening glow Nylon strings, and I love you so One guitar, one small light Goodnight, goodnight
