Lyrics
There's a key beneath the flowerpot You left it there for me Rain is on the doorstep And you said I'd always be Welcome, welcome home The light is on for you Welcome, welcome home I knew that you'd come through Cold metal in my palm Turning in the lock The hallway smells of supper And the slow tick of the clock Welcome, welcome home The light is on for you Welcome, welcome home I knew that you'd come through Somebody thought ahead And hid a little door So I would never wander Out in the cold anymore Shoes beside the doorway Coat upon the chair Somebody left a spare key Because somebody cared Welcome, welcome home The light is on for you Welcome, welcome home I knew that you'd come through I knew that you'd come through I knew that you'd come through
