Lyrics
They knocked on my door with a list of rules Told me to quiet down and play it cool I said the walls can shake, the floor can crack I'm not turning back Smoke in the doorway Fire in my chest I'll keep on playing I won't ever rest Burn it down, burn it down I will not bow, I will not frown Burn it down, burn it down Ash on the welcome mat, I'm standing my ground They said that loud is not a way to live Said take what's offered, take what they give I tuned my strings a little bit lower And I played it louder Smoke in the doorway Fire in my chest I'll keep on playing I won't ever rest Burn it down, burn it down I will not bow, I will not frown Burn it down, burn it down Ash on the welcome mat, I'm standing my ground Raise your fists Raise them high We were never meant To keep quiet Burn it down, burn it down I will not bow, I will not frown Burn it down, burn it down Ash on the welcome mat, I'm standing my ground Standing my ground Standing my ground
