Lyrics
They said the mill is closing down They said the town is done They said go find a quiet life And put away the gun But I've got a guitar and a ten ton heart And a hundred friends who know That a place gets only half as dead As the people who let it go Pull the shutters, light the sky Nobody here is gonna die Chrome teeth and thunder, we won't back down Chrome teeth and thunder, we own this town Hammer on the iron, hammer on the door We've been knocked down and we're back for more Chrome teeth and thunder, we're burning bright Chrome teeth and thunder, we're gonna fight The bank sent letters in a pile The papers wrote us off We kept on laughing in the rain And turned the amp up loud Every scar is a medal Every bruise is a song We were built in the fire We were built to be strong Pull the shutters, light the sky Nobody here is gonna die Chrome teeth and thunder, we won't back down Chrome teeth and thunder, we own this town Hammer on the iron, hammer on the door We've been knocked down and we're back for more Chrome teeth and thunder, we're burning bright Chrome teeth and thunder, we're gonna fight Raise it up, raise it high Shake the rafters, shake the sky Louder, louder, let it ring Every voice in the choir will sing Chrome teeth and thunder, we won't back down Chrome teeth and thunder, we own this town Hammer on the iron, hammer on the door We've been knocked down and we're back for more Chrome teeth and thunder, we're burning bright Chrome teeth and thunder, we're gonna fight
