Lyrics
Dead engine on a midnight road Rain was coming down A stranger pulled up with his lights And came walking round No words, just a pair of cables And a nod beneath the rain Spark, spark, the engine turns Somebody stopped for me Spark, spark, the engine turns Somebody stopped, and now I'm free He never told me what his name was He just closed my hood Said go on, get yourself home safe Like any neighbour would No words, just a pair of cables And a nod beneath the rain Spark, spark, the engine turns Somebody stopped for me Spark, spark, the engine turns Somebody stopped, and now I'm free I'll stop for someone else one night I'll hold the light up high Pass it on down the long dark road Beneath the open sky Spark, spark, the engine turns Somebody stopped for me Spark, spark, the engine turns Somebody stopped, and now I'm free Somebody stopped for me Somebody stopped, and now I'm free
