Lyrics
Power's out in the whole building tonight Thunder's rolling over the city lights You knock on my door with a candle in your hand Said I figured you might need a friend Up the stairs to the roof under the awning Blanket on the concrete, storm keeps calling We don't say much, we don't need to Rain on the tin is a song for two Something in the dark Is glowing just for us Candle wax and rooftop rain Slow heartbeat, no need to explain Your hand in mine, the city's gone Candle wax and rooftop rain Let it pour, let it fall We don't need the lights at all Everything I need is here Candle wax and rooftop rain Wax drips slow on the paper cup Your shoulder's warm and I lean up Siren in the distance, but it's far away Tonight the world can wait You hum a tune I almost know Soft as the way the rain falls slow I could stay until the morning comes Wrapped in your voice and the thunder drums Something in the dark Is glowing just for us Candle wax and rooftop rain Slow heartbeat, no need to explain Your hand in mine, the city's gone Candle wax and rooftop rain Let it pour, let it fall We don't need the lights at all Everything I need is here Candle wax and rooftop rain When the power comes back, will you stay Will the room feel the same as the way We felt up here with the sky so low Hold on to me, don't let it go Candle wax and rooftop rain Slow heartbeat, no need to explain Your hand in mine, the city's gone Candle wax and rooftop rain Let it pour, let it fall We don't need the lights at all Everything I need is here Candle wax and rooftop rain Rain on the roof, and you by my side The best kind of dark is the kind we share tonight
