Lyrics
My watch broke down on Tuesday Stopped right at half past nine I just left it on my wrist And I'm feeling fine Nobody asks me what the time is I just shrug and smile Everything is running late And I'm okay with that for a while I'm off the clock, off the clock Nothing to run for, nothing to stop Easy wrist, easy day Let the minutes drift away I'm off the clock, off the clock Walked the long way to the corner Bought a coffee, took my time The bus went by without me And the sky was soft and fine Every face is in a hurry I just nod and let them pass Half past nine is a good time When it's going slow like glass I'm off the clock, off the clock Nothing to run for, nothing to stop Easy wrist, easy day Let the minutes drift away I'm off the clock, off the clock Tick, no tick Who needs a tick Half past nine forever Suits me just fine I'm off the clock, off the clock Nothing to run for, nothing to stop Easy wrist, easy day Let the minutes drift away I'm off the clock, off the clock Easy wrist, easy day I'm off the clock
