Lyrics
Back seat glowing with the city lights Meter's ticking down on a quiet night Driver's got the radio turned down low Passing through the neon, nowhere to go Phone says three minutes till I'm home But I'm in no rush to be alone Your hand on the seat just an inch from mine Slow roll, red light, take your time Say it now, say it slow Driver won't tell, he don't know Taxi light off, heart light on Riding with you till the break of dawn Taxi light off, heart light on Every little block feels like a song Circle the city one more round Never wanna touch the ground Taxi light off, heart light on Stay with me till the night is gone Bridge lights flicker on the river below Skyline sparkling in a golden glow You're laughing at something I said in jest Something in the way that you laugh is the best Driver's smiling in the mirror, he knows Seen a thousand nights where the feeling grows Tell him take the long way, please Slow down, city, ease, ease Say it now, say it slow Driver won't tell, he don't know Taxi light off, heart light on Riding with you till the break of dawn Taxi light off, heart light on Every little block feels like a song Circle the city one more round Never wanna touch the ground Taxi light off, heart light on Stay with me till the night is gone Fare says twenty, I'd pay a hundred For one more minute of the way we're wondering Almost at the door, don't want to go Time can you slow, time can you slow Taxi light off, heart light on Riding with you till the break of dawn Taxi light off, heart light on Every little block feels like a song Circle the city one more round Never wanna touch the ground Taxi light off, heart light on Stay with me till the night is gone Heart light on Heart light on
