Lyrics
Up the mountain where the pavement bends Eleven turns and the climbing ends There's a cabin window yellow in the pines And a woodstove burning, and it's mine tonight, it's mine You pour the cocoa, I stack the wood The wind outside is doing all it could We're two wool socks by a crackling fire Nothing but each other and a slow, sweet wire Cabin lights above the switchback Leave a light on for the one who's coming back Snow on the roof and your hand in mine Cabin lights, honey, shining all the time A truck goes crawling up the winding grade The driver sees the glow and he's not afraid Somebody's keeping the dark at bay Somebody's waiting at the end of the way Cabin lights above the switchback Leave a light on for the one who's coming back Snow on the roof and your hand in mine Cabin lights, honey, shining all the time We don't need a lot, we don't need a thing Just a quilt and a kettle and the way you sing Slow dance on a creaky pine floor Stars through the window, who could ask for more Cabin lights above the switchback Leave a light on for the one who's coming back Snow on the roof and your hand in mine Cabin lights, honey, shining all the time Shining all the time Cabin lights, shining all the time
