Lyrics
A little boat on the river One lantern at the bow The water holds the yellow light And rocks it soft and slow Nobody here but the fishing line And the dark that's warm and wide I tie the rope, I hum along And let the current guide Glow, little lantern, glow Float me down the river slow Stay close, I'm right here The night is calm, the water's clear Glow, little lantern, glow The far bank has a window A small light, gold and low Maybe someone's up like me With nowhere else to go The ripples draw their circles And the circles fade away I'm not in any hurry For the morning or the day Glow, little lantern, glow Float me down the river slow Stay close, I'm right here The night is calm, the water's clear Glow, little lantern, glow Drift, drift, drift along The river knows the song Drift, drift, drift along You were never here alone Glow, little lantern, glow Float me down the river slow Stay close, I'm right here The night is calm, the water's clear Glow, little lantern, glow Glow, little lantern Glow, little lantern, glow
