Lyrics

Rollers turning in the back
Of the all-night print shop
Paper flying, warm and new
Never wants to stop
The smell of ink and coffee
In the lamp-lit room

Print it slow, print it true
Morning's coming through
Fresh ink on a clean white page
A new day, ready for you
Print it slow, print it true
Morning's coming through

Stacks of flyers, small town news
Birthday cards and signs
Every sheet a little promise
Folded into lines
I stack them in the cardboard
And I hum along

Print it slow, print it true
Morning's coming through
Fresh ink on a clean white page
A new day, ready for you
Print it slow, print it true
Morning's coming through

Somebody will read these words
Over breakfast soon
Somebody will pin them up
Under the fading moon

Print it slow, print it true
Morning's coming through
Fresh ink on a clean white page
A new day, ready for you
Print it slow, print it true
Morning's coming through

Print it slow
Morning's coming through
