Lyrics
Kitchen light is low and gold Kettle starts to murmur, slow Two a.m. and I can't sleep So the tea can be my keep Let it simmer, let it sing The little kettle knows everything Pour a cup and sit with me Let it simmer, let it be Steam against the window glass Watching the long night pass Rain is tapping on the sill The whole world feels so still Let it simmer, let it sing The little kettle knows everything Pour a cup and sit with me Let it simmer, let it be Nothing needs to happen now No place I need to be Just the warmth between my hands And the quiet company Cup is empty, eyes grow slow Kitchen clock is ticking low Leave the lamp on, leave it bright Morning's coming, goodnight Let it simmer, let it sing The little kettle knows everything Pour a cup and sit with me Let it simmer, let it be Let it be
