Lyrics
Forty years of the same front door Same grey desk and the same grey floor Somebody baked a sheet cake today It says good luck in blue Leave the badge on the desk Walk out slow Nobody is going to tell me where to go Last day, last day Leave the badge and go I am walking out slow The clock on the wall can keep its time The parking lot is a bright new line I shake some hands and I take my box A plant and a coffee cup Leave the badge on the desk Walk out slow Nobody is going to tell me where to go Last day, last day Leave the badge and go I am walking out slow Monday morning No alarm Monday morning Nothing to do Monday morning I might sleep until noon I might play it loud Leave the badge on the desk Walk out slow Now I get to choose where I go Last day, last day Leave the badge and go I am walking out slow Walking out slow Walking out slow
