Lyrics
The last bus hums along the wet black road I see you by the window, looking out I've carried what I said, a heavy load I'll sit beside you, quiet, without doubt I'm sorry for the things I said I'm sorry for the words that I left unsaid Let me sit here, let the night go slow I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just want you to know You do not turn, but you don't move away The streetlights flicker blue across your hand Some peace is made without a word to say Some silence says what we can't understand I'm sorry for the things I said I'm sorry for the words that I left unsaid Let me sit here, let the night go slow I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just want you to know The bus turns home, the windows start to clear Your shoulder leans a little bit my way We don't need much, just knowing you are here That tomorrow can be softer than today I'm sorry for the things I said I'm sorry for the words that I left unsaid Let me sit here, let the night go slow I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just want you to know Seat beside you Let the night go slow
